It Happened! And I Was There!

It has been a long and incredibly tiring good night last night. I went to the Dave Goelz thing yesterday evening.

I have some pictures.

This is me with Ryan, who runs The Muppet Mindset, a blog made to review Muppet stuff. He was very nice. He, however doesn't know I was the one who told him about it, though.

This is Anthony, who works with Tough Pigs. He was cool, but nerdier than me. How nerdy? It's like he doesn't live in his parents basement. More like the sub-basement.

This was the name of the program: Muppets 101.

First was this Long and incredibly boring appropriate rule goings over.
Then Dave got to speak, and he talked about some of the things Jim did before, and during his time with the Muppets, which is still going on.

Here's part of the video he talked about. It was done by the Jim Henson Legacy.

Here's from the pitch reel for Sesame Street.

Then a Q and A session. I got to ask my question, then the special guest (Yes, Gonzo) came out of the box. He apparently got flown in from Hoboken.

Ah.... this part was very funny. June Freaking Cleaver asked about the whole "Chicken Romance" thing. What was said was "What about it?!"

This was interesting, when Gonzo was complaining about one of the questions.

It's a kinda cool, being in a room with a Muppet. It makes me wish I was actually talented.

This picture is kinda blurry. I know it was during the Q and A session, but I don't know when.

Ok.... I can't explain this one. Eli was with us and he was in the way.

This was done during the rantesque talk Gonzo had about Elmo, which made me laugh.

"Elmo? He's a weirdo!"
Here's when I was in the Incredibly long line to get an autograph.

This.... is the high point of the pictures. And I will never forget it. Thanks Dave for tolerating a picture!

Then here are some things I don't need to explain. AUTOGRAPHS!!!

What a night!

I know Kermit inside and out! Wanna see?

But seroiusly though, this post is about two people, Steve Whitmire and Jim Henson. They have two things in common, they worked together, and they both performed the frog!

You already know what I'm talking about, the Muppets.

The Muppets were ran by one puppet, and two performers, the aformentioned people. First I should talk about the Big Boss, Jim.

At first, he didn't want to be a puppeteer, he wanted to work on TV though. He saw a sign that some kid's show was looking for a puppeteer, and the rest is history

Then there is Steve Whitmire!

I can't keep this one short. Steve was a huge fan of the Muppets and became a puppeteer because of Jim Henson, just like me. He became a Muppeteer durring The Muppet Show. at the begining of the '90s Jim died and they needed a new person to perform Kermit and Ernie. Jim said in his will who would get his characters. Well, some of them. Rowlf didn't come back till now, and still he isn't shown much! Anyway, Jim's will said that Steve got Kermit and Ernie. And that's how this madness began!

So, now that the truth is known* will you read my blog?

*Note: some of it might be wrong, I don't know. I read it somewhere, I am telling the truth as I know it.

This is what happens when you combine two shows.

I have seen many shows where they either spoofed and/or mixed the characters of other shows. This is what happens.

The Goofalotatots form The Mask The Animated Series.

As you can tell, this is the cartoon based off the Jim Carrey movie of the same name. The Mask once met a spoof of the Warner Brothers and their sister Dot. The Goofalolatots, Stinko, Pinko, and Snot.

This is just the first part.

This is why I decided to post this. If you can't tell, Yakko is a skunk, Wakko is a beaver, and Dot is a cat.

Then there is Pinky, Elmyra and The Brain.

This one lasted 1 season. Ok, I can understand that..... Pinky and The Brain lasted untill 1999. This one lasted one year. I mean, COME ON! If you wanted to make an Animaniacs Tiny Toons crossover, use The Warners and Buster and Babs Bunny! That would have made a good show! Grrrrrr....

Ok, I need to calm down. Bye

Flower, I miss you!

I am honoring my favorite meerkat from Meerkat Manor today! Flower died from a snake bite to the head three years ago.

It is really sad (I cry every time i watch "Journey's end") So we must now honor Flower.

I wrote a eulogy.

Flower died as she lived, protecting her pups. We will miss her spunky attitude, her devotion to her family, and her determination to survive.

Goodbye, my sweet. And as Sean Astin said, "The desert has lost it's favorite rose."

Jim's former company is following me!

If you don't know this already, you don't read mom's or my blog. I am a fan of the Muppets. That is why I was so exited when I heard Dave Golez was coming to Missouri. So, when I joined Twitter, I found out that The Jim Henson Company had a Twitter account. I was excited! So I decided to follow Jim's company (Jim's former company). I didn't know that I would get the biggest suprise of a lifetime. I am a puppeteer, so I was suprised that the Company's Twitter account started following me, I was psyched! But I don't know what to say..... I want to tweet to them, but what to say?

WWJD? What would Jim do?

Can you comment to this post and say what you think I should tweet? Thanks in advance for the ideas!
